Upon your arrival in Hanoi, local tour guide greets you at the airport and transfer to hotel for check-in. Your time to relax after long-haul flight.

Overnight in Hanoi

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam is a blend of long established traditions and modern imprints of Western colonization. The sightseeing today is to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his Stilt House, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, and the Old Quarter known as The 36 Streets.

Lunch is served at an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, to have a taste of Pho, fresh spring roll and seasonal specialties.

After all is the famous Water Puppet Show, a fantastic art form originating in the northern of Vietnam, best seen in Hanoi.

Overnight in Hanoi

We journey south to Ninh Binh, visiting to Bai Dinh Pagoda homed of the tallest and heaviest bronze statue of Buddha and many national records besides before reaching to Tam Coc or Dry Ha Long Bay, famous for its breathtaking scenery, where dramatic limestone formations rise sharply out of green rice paddies and wetlands. We embark on a small, hand rowed sampan cruising along green waterways passing the series of three caves then visit Thai Vy and Bich Dong Temples.

Overnight in Ninh Binh

Today we drive along mountainous passes with its astonishing panoramic view of the whole valley, the stunning rice terrace fields and traditional villages of ethnic minorities to enter Pu Luong natural preserved area. Several trekking loops ranging from a short scenic stroll to nearby hill tribe villages to a challenging hike to conquer Pu Luong’s highest peak with camping in the fresh outdoors. Or travelling as a fisherman – cruising down a calm river on traditional bamboo rafts, visiting local hill tribe families and enjoying their hospitalities.

Overnight in Pu Luong

The daily life here starts early thus it’s interesting to get up at the first sign of day light and take part in local activities. In the afternoon we head back to Hanoi to catch domestic flight to Da Nang and Hoi An

Overnight in Hoi An

We spend the whole day today to sightseeing Hoi An, known as Faifo to early Western trader. The walking tour includes visit to Tran Family Chapel, Phuoc Kien Assembly Hall, Sa Huynh Museum and Japanese Covered Bridge Pagoda.

Lunch is served with Cao Lau – Hoi An styled noodles, white rose dumplings and seasonal specialties.

In the afternoon we act as local fishermen through the coconut-palm paradise with a wide range of experiences, from learning traditional fishing techniques to paddling the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats, how to make an origami creations from reeds of palm leaves while exploring the now tranquil coconut-palm flanked waterways of a past war.

Overnight in Hoi An

We start the day by biking to the countryside throughout the rice paddle, enjoying the fresh air with the nature, meeting with local farmer, talking with them about their local farming daily life, having a cup of tea with them at the middle of the rice paddle field farm, trying to ride a water buffalo and then taking part in plough, raking, sowing, planting, grinding and separating the rice and making rice flour. No worries of dust since farming clothes, conical hat, boost and gloves are provided.

Lunch is very much enjoyable with local dishes cooked by yourselves or your beloveds at a cooking class.

Overnight in Hoi An

We take a short flight to Nha Trang, a coastal resort city known for its white sand curving stretch beaches, diving sites and offshore islands. Holding on beach activities for the following day, we jeep up the ex-US military Jeeps to explore the rural countryside, several stops en route to visit Dien Khanh Citadel, the 1917 Ha Dua Church, the very first French vineyard since 19th century, a 200-year ancient house and local family factories hand-making clay cooking stove, sleeping mats, conical leaf hats and rice papers.

Lunch and dinner are served by local families, with fresh ingredients for dishes are just taken from nearby rural markets.

Overnight in Nha Trang

The whole day today is your choice of beach activities, either a popular glass bottom boat trip to Mun Islands watching the live coral reefs, sea plants and creatures, or various diving options ranging from a ‘try dive’ with PADI professional instructor to certified advanced and pro diving training.

Overnight in Nha Trang

This day is extended for your completion of the diving course, whilst other family members take further excursion to Yang Bay waterfall, Monkey Island, Oceanographic Institute and Po Nagar Cham Tower, an important Hinduist worship compound of Champa Kingdom dating back to the 7th century. After all we take a night train to Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City

Early morning we arrive in Saigon, a vibrant metropolis teemed with energy, activity and motion. Breakfast as locals with various choices of Banh Mi – Vietnamese healthy fast-food, Com Tam – Saigonese best taste, Pho, Khmer styled noodles and more.

We begin touring this exciting city at Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, then heading northwest to visit Cu Chi Tunnels, the VC base that never discovered by American forces. Stretching over 200 km, this incredible underground network was dug by hand out of hard laterite, connecting command posts, hospitals, Hoang Cam kitchen of no-smoke, shelter and weapon factories.

Overnight in Saigon

Heading south of Saigon to My Tho, the gateway to the Mekong Delta, we take a boat trip on Mekong River and a sampan through canals into gardens and rural houses, where lots of families produce coconut candy, feed the bee for honey, or plant juicy fruit. We stop at some families to enjoy a traditional music performance and taste the honey tea.

Lunch is served at local restaurant with typical crispy elephant-ear-fish and fried-ball-sticky-rice.

In the afternoon we drive back to Saigon and to the airport for your onward flights.
